I love the photos of these suitcases. Makes me want to book a bed and breakfast somewhere off the coast of Nantucket, not sure why that place comes to mind, never been there. I thought you might enjoy this, I got this from your Aunt Helena’s blog.
Find yourself a nice suitcase and travel the world. You cannot truly enjoy all of life’s beauty or find all the answers to your questions sitting around at home. Get the ‘eff out of Dodge…
I had the rare opportunity to live in so many far off places. My advice, do not limit your travels, get off the beaten path and you will be surprised at what you find. I have visited some amazing places, from bustling cities to tiny little villages, where their idea of a bathroom was a hole in the ground. In fact, I graduated high school in Del Rio Texas, that town looked like it was ripped right out of the movie Napoleon Dynamite. My point is this, the contrast between how each population views the world is just as interesting as the places themselves. Don’t fall into the trap that the US is the center of the world. See the world and be humbled.
So, I hope you make time to travel as you get older. Or maybe attend school studying abroad. In fact, go live somewhere outside of home base… just make sure you limit that time to a year, we don’t want you to be away for too long.
ps Semester at Sea doesn’t count, I know what happens on those ships… you’re not going.
