I attended Sourcing at MAGIC this weekend with the rest of the team. Listened to a few keynotes, extended the network, gained a good amount of insights. My highlight was a 1:1 with Obama Admin Secretary for International Trade - Francisco Sanchez. I shared my thoughts on bringing awareness to the small businesses that want to explore the opportunities in re-establishing sourcing and manufacturing back to the US. My feedback landed me an invite to set up a call to discuss our ideas even further. I’m excited to see where this leads.
There is so much more work ahead of us, but for now, we’re taking in the little rewards we discover along the way. We worked our asses off this weekend and being able to pause for a moment to enjoy the progress we have accomplished so far is the impetus behind seeing this to the end.
