They don’t really make songs like this anymore - the song never gets old. Around my middle school years I started a habit of sleeping with music playing in the background, I can still recall vividly rewinding this song a few times before falling asleep… it was on a cassette tape I was in 8th grade.

So after, I don’t know… 20 years? I finally mustered enough courage to have my wisdom teeth pulled out… all 4 of them. I’m freaking the f_ _ _ out.
It’s going down tomorrow morning. Ugh. The anxiety is building up and it’s killing me. It feels like I’m waiting for that inevitable ass whooping from my father on report card day. This sucks.
The silver lining? Vicodin.

Advice my parents never gave me.
These days access to a social media microphone is fairly easy. It’s what you say once you’re up there that can have a significant impact on how people perceive you.
Be aware of how you conduct yourself in public, blogs, socials sites, twitter… if that is even around when you are old enough to read this.
Pay attention to the way you communicate, especially to the message you are sending across. Now that the world stage is virtually at any one’s fingertips, you can inadvertently turn anything important you have to say into noise… managing and protecting your reputation is vital.
I’m not saying don’t be yourself… I encourage you to share your opinions when solicited. Share your insights so you can help inspire others. Just don’t be stubborn. Don’t be ignorant. And always consider the fact that you don’t know what you don’t know, when sharing your opinion.
In this day in age, your reputation is all you have. Protect it, because even though it may not always be obvious… the world is watching.
